The Prevent system is designed to be a simple, low-touch system that can be managed with minimal time and resources.
HOW IT WORKS

Team Manager
Maintains the Prevent System by handling charging, software updates & troubleshooting

Medical Practitioner or Coach
Views real-time head impacts on app and aggregated data on the web portal.

Athlete
Wears Prevent IM Mouthguard. Places in case for charging after practice/game

Parent
Access player's head impact data and can also view event and lifetime history on the app
PURCHASE & SETUP
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the little blind texts. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas.
1 - ORDER
The system can be purchased at a team or organization level, with the minimum order quantity being 10 IMMs.
2 - CONFIGURE
Designated team manager will be given access to the Prevent Web Portal.
The Manager then uploads team roster and player information.
3 - FIT
The team manager receives the IM Mouthguards. They then download the Prevent app and assign the athletes a IM Mouthguard. The Players will then fit the IM Mouthguards.
4 - USE
Athletes wear the Mouthguards in practice and in games. The user observes real-time data on the Prevent App. Coaches can then review the data to instruct on safer playing techniques.
ABOVE THRESHOLD ALERTS
The Prevent System alerts sideline personal to above-threshold head impacts as they happen.
An alert indicates that the athlete has received an impact of a magnitude that exceeds a threshold for recommended concussion assessment.
Teams also have the option of enabling a configurable LED light on the mouthguard that turns red in the event of an alert.
Alert states can be re-set by completing a sideline assessment in the Prevent app, or by identifying the alert as a false positive.
ASSESSMENTS & PROTOCOL
Following an above threshold alert, once an athlete has been removed from play, the Prevent app helps sideline personnel conduct a concussion assessment interview. The interview can be configured to the team’s preferred concussion assessment tool, if desired.
MANAGING RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL
The Prevent app provides an easy one-stop tool for tracking the recovery progress of injured players through the required stages of concussion return to play protocol. A doctor’s clearance can be uploaded and the successful completion of each stage of activity can be tracked, helping training staff and coaches comply with organization or league policy and ensuring a safe recovery process for the athlete.
