Military Overview

Prevent Biometrics has been used since 2017 in military applications to monitor blunt forces and blast overpressure. This work has been assisted by the United States Department of Defense (DoD), who has awarded Prevent Biometrics and its collaborators over $8 million of competitive, peer-reviewed funding during that time.
The Prevent Combination Sensor – aka “Combo Sensor” – is the only system on the market that can simultaneously estimate and report blunt force head impacts as well as blast overpressures in real-time from the same sensor. 
Through a fully integrated platform, head impacts and blast exposures are automatically uploaded via wireless syncing, requiring no effort from the user.  Uploaded data are also immediately available for viewing, or can be sent by email or text for review. The Prevent Biometrics data platform has the capability to be integrated through an API to other data platforms.
